About East Bay Community Energy
EBCE is a public power agency that helps the East Bay community transition to clean, renewable energy while providing customers low rates and local community benefits. The company is committed to providing 100% carbon-free electricity to all customers by 2030.
Some member cities have already transitioned customers to 100% renewable energy service to accelerate the reduction of emissions. EBCE has several programs that help simplify the pathway for customers to upgrade appliances, transition to electric transportation, make homes more resilient in a power outage, and more.
They have also invested $21 million on local programs for battery energy storage, induction cooking, and electric heat pump water heaters. Additionally, EBCE is on a mission to make a difference by saving $19 million annually for customers compared to what they would have paid for PG&E service.
Overall, they encourage customers to join the clean energy transition and contribute to a greener future.
