About The Solar Training Network
IREC leads the Solar Ready Vets Network, a program that connects transitioning military service members and veterans with career opportunities in the solar industry. They work with training providers, employers, and workforce development partners to strengthen solar industry career pathways for veterans.
They connect veterans to opportunities for training, credentialing, professional development, and employment through GI Bill expansion, fast tracks to certification, and Solar Industry Apprenticeships. The Solar Ready Vets Fellowship connects mid-to-senior level transitioning service members with on-the-job training in leadership and management roles in the civilian solar workforce.
Implemented by the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program with support from IREC and the Solar Energy Industries Association, the fellowships are offered to employers at no cost. With partners, they are building industry capacity to advance a nationwide pipeline of talent at all levels of the solar workforce.
