About NYC Solar Partnership
Solar Uptown Now Services Solar Workers Cooperative is a community-based organization that empowers low-income communities and communities of color to access clean and affordable solar energy. Their mission is to reduce the disproportionate impact of air pollution and greenhouse gases on these communities.
With a focus on uptown Manhattan neighborhoods, Solar Uptown Now provides solar panel installation and maintenance services. They work with a cooperative of trained and certified solar workers who live in the local community, creating local jobs and increasing community involvement.
Solar Uptown Now also provides financing and incentive guidance, as well as consultation and education services. Their commitment to equitable access to clean energy strengthens the resilience of these neighborhoods against the impacts of climate change.
