Islanding
"Islanding" pertains to a concept in the domain of green energy or renewable energy. It refers to a situation where a portion of the power grid continues to supply power while isolated from the main grid, usually for safety or stability reasons. This usually occurs when a particular solar power system or wind turbine sustains a localized area when power from the main grid is unavailable due to reasons such as blackouts or maintenance shutdowns.
